What is The Pace Effect?

The Pace Effect is an online crowdfunding platform through which student organizations and groups can request funding for specific projects. Alumni, students, parents and friends may choose from a menu of "causes" on which they can have an “effect”.

What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is the collective effort of many individuals raising money to support compelling projects. The Pace Effect platform allows students to exhibit their endeavors to a larger audience, and gives you, the donor, an opportunity to support a cause that resonates with you.

Where is my donation going?

100% of your donation will go directly to the project. There are no deductions of processing or overhead fees.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes. All gifts received through the The Pace Effect platform are considered donations to Pace University and are thus tax-deductible. Donors will receive a tax receipt following gift processing.

What happens if a project is overfunded?

If a campaign raises more than its stated funding goal, we will work with the project sponsor to determine if the funds should be used to expand or enhance the project, or reserved for use by similar projects in the future.

Who should I contact if I have questions?

If you have a question about this platform or any of the individual projects, please contact Claudia Angelillo, Director for Annual Giving, at cangelillo@pace.edu.
